Can you paint with sound? And can you actually see the sounds you make?

What is usually only heard can here also be seen and touched – and transformed into fun, quirky and unexpected sounds, in collaboration with other children. Sound Painters invites you into a creative sound workshop filled with noises that set water, light and laser in motion. Try out microphones, synths, drums and small objects, and see what happens when your sounds become images, vibrations and dancing dots.

Sound Painters is an open workshop where you can come and go as you like – and everything you do contributes to a shared world of sound, together with musicians Andrine Dyblie Erdal (cello) and Jomar Jeppsson Søvik (drums and electronics).

No previous experience is needed – just curiosity!

The workshop is part of Barnas Ultima-dager (BUD) – the festival’s own programme for its youngest audience (but adults are more than welcome too)! At BUD, you can discover contemporary music and exciting new sounds through concerts, performances and workshops.
